Getting started

Do I need to pay anything to get started?
No. You can create an account, set up your event, and test the checkout without paying anything. You only incur charges when paid tickets are sold. Free events are always free, on every plan.
How long does it take to set up my first event?
For a simple event with a few ticket types: around 20–30 minutes. For a fully configured multi-day event with multiple accommodation types, ancillary add-ons, and early-bird pricing tiers: allow 45–90 minutes for the first event. Subsequent events are faster because you can clone settings from a previous one.
Do I need a developer?
No. The entire setup — account, Stripe connection, event configuration, and checkout embedding — is designed for non-developers. Embedding is one line of code you copy and paste into your website. If you can use WordPress or Squarespace, you can use NaturalTix.
Can I try it before committing to anything?
Yes. Book a 20-minute demo and we'll walk through your specific event configuration live. No signup required for the demo, and no commitment after it.
Do I need to have an existing Stripe account?
No. If you don't have a Stripe account, we'll walk you through creating one as part of the NaturalTix setup. The Stripe onboarding takes 5–10 minutes and happens inside our dashboard. If you already have Stripe, connecting it takes under a minute.

Payments & fees

When do I receive my money?
Revenue hits your Stripe account at the moment of each sale — minus the NaturalTix fee and Stripe's processing fee. Stripe then pays out to your bank account on their standard schedule, typically 2–7 business days after each transaction depending on your country and Stripe account settings.
Does NaturalTix ever hold my money?
Never. We use Stripe Connect, which means the charge is created directly on your Stripe account. Your money goes from your attendee's card to your Stripe account. NaturalTix's fee is deducted at the point of transaction as a split — we never touch the rest of your revenue.
What payment methods can attendees use?
All major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and any payment method supported by Stripe in your country. Stripe handles all PCI compliance — your attendees are paying through Stripe's secure infrastructure.
Can I pass the booking fee on to attendees?
Yes. In your event settings you can choose to absorb the fee (it comes out of your ticket price) or display it as a booking fee that attendees pay on top. The checkout always shows the total clearly before payment is taken.
What are the Stripe processing fees?
Stripe's standard European card processing fee is 1.4% + €0.25 per transaction. This is separate from the NaturalTix per-ticket fee and applies regardless of which ticketing platform you use — it's Stripe's charge for processing the payment. Non-European cards (e.g. US Visa) may be slightly higher.
Do I pay fees on the accommodation revenue?
Yes, but only if you use the accommodation module. The accommodation fee is 5% of accommodation revenue, deducted at point of sale — exactly like the per-ticket fee. If you don't sell accommodation through NaturalTix, there's no accommodation fee. The per-ticket fee doesn't apply to accommodation — only the 5%.

Accommodation

What types of accommodation can I sell through NaturalTix?
Any accommodation type with a defined inventory and price: tent pitches, campervan/motorhome bays, glamping pods, bell tents, retreat centre rooms (single, twin, ensuite, shared dorm), partner hotel room blocks, B&B allocations, and more. If it has a capacity and a price, NaturalTix can sell it.
Can attendees book accommodation separately from their ticket?
Yes. You can configure accommodation as a required bundle (must be booked with a ticket) or as an optional add-on that attendees can choose after selecting their ticket. You can also sell accommodation on its own for events where that makes sense.
How do I handle a partner hotel room block?
You enter the number of rooms the hotel has allocated to you, set the price and room type descriptions, and NaturalTix sells them from your checkout. You can set a release date — rooms not sold by that date can be removed from the checkout so the hotel can re-release them. All bookings are tracked in your dashboard.
Can I sell different room types at different prices?
Yes. Each accommodation option is configured separately with its own capacity, price, and description. You can have as many accommodation types as you need. Attendees see all available options and choose at the point of booking.
What happens when accommodation sells out?
Each accommodation type has its own capacity. When a type reaches capacity, it's automatically marked as sold out in the checkout — attendees see the remaining options but can't select the full one. You can enable a waitlist per accommodation type if you want to capture demand for sold-out options.

Tickets & events

How many ticket types can I have per event?
Unlimited. You can create as many ticket types as your event needs — general admission, VIP, early-bird, multi-day passes, day tickets, group tickets, competitor entries, spectator tickets, free RSVPs. Each has its own price, capacity, and sales window.
Can I set an early-bird price that switches automatically?
Yes. For any ticket type, you can set an early-bird price and an end date. When the date passes, the price automatically switches to the standard rate. No manual intervention required.
Can I run multiple events from one account?
Yes, on all plans. Your dashboard lists all your events. On Pro and Scale you get a unified multi-event view. Each event has its own checkout widget code — you embed each event separately on the relevant page of your website.
Can I offer group discounts?
Yes. You can set group discount tiers on the Pro plan — for example, buy 4 tickets and the 4th is 50% off, or a flat group price for bookings of 6+. Group basket links let organisers share a link that automatically opens a shared basket.
What does the attendee ticket look like?
Attendees receive a confirmation email immediately after purchase with a PDF attachment containing their ticket(s) and booking summary. Each item in the booking (ticket, accommodation, add-ons) is listed with a QR code for check-in. The email and PDF can be customised with your event branding on Pro and Scale plans.

Attendees

Do attendees need to create an account?
No. Attendees can book as a guest with just their name and email address. Optional account creation is available for attendees who want to manage their bookings, view their tickets, or update their details.
Can I capture custom information from attendees at booking?
Yes. You can add custom fields to your checkout — dietary requirements, horse details, vehicle registration, T-shirt size, emergency contact, whatever your event needs. Fields can be per-ticket or per-booking, and can be required or optional.
How do I check attendees in on the day?
NaturalTix includes a mobile check-in app. Any team member with a smartphone can scan QR codes from attendee tickets. The check-in dashboard shows live capacity status across all ticket types and accommodation. No hardware required — just a phone with a camera and internet access.
Can I export my attendee list?
Yes. Export a CSV with all attendee data at any time from your dashboard — names, contact details, ticket types, accommodation selections, add-ons, custom field responses, check-in status. The export updates in real time as new bookings arrive.

Cancellations & refunds

How do refunds work?
You can issue full or partial refunds from your NaturalTix dashboard. Select the booking, choose the refund amount (full, partial, or per-item), and confirm. The refund is processed through Stripe back to the attendee's original payment method. NaturalTix's per-ticket fee is refunded at the same time. Stripe's processing fee may not be returned — this is standard across all payment platforms.
Can I set my own cancellation policy?
Yes. You define your cancellation policy per event: full refund up to X days before the event, partial refund (you set the percentage) within X days, or no refund within X days. The policy is displayed clearly at checkout before payment is taken. Approved refunds within your policy can be processed with one click.
What if I have to cancel or postpone the event itself?
From your dashboard you can issue mass refunds to all ticket holders for an event, or to all holders of a specific ticket type. For postponements, you can update the event date and send a notification to all attendees. Attendees can then opt to keep their booking or request a refund.
Can attendees transfer their ticket to someone else?
Ticket transfer is on the product roadmap. In the current version, transfers are handled manually by contacting the organiser. This is planned for a future release.

Technical

Which website platforms does the embed work with?
Any platform that allows custom HTML or JavaScript: WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow, Wix, Showit, Ghost, Framer, and custom-built sites. If you can paste a YouTube embed on your site, you can paste a NaturalTix checkout. If you're unsure about your platform, book a demo and we'll confirm.
Is the checkout mobile-friendly?
Yes, fully. The checkout widget is responsive by design — it renders correctly on mobile, tablet, and desktop. Apple Pay and Google Pay are available on supported mobile devices, making checkout a single tap for many attendees.
Can I use NaturalTix on my own domain?
Yes. The embeddable checkout runs on your existing website under your own domain. There's no redirect to a NaturalTix-branded page. Attendees stay on your site throughout the booking. On the Scale plan, you can also host a standalone NaturalTix checkout page on a custom subdomain if needed.
Does NaturalTix integrate with other tools?
Stripe Connect is the core integration and is built in. Email marketing integrations (Mailchimp, Klaviyo) and webhook support for custom integrations are available on Scale. A full REST API is available on Scale for custom integrations. Additional integrations are on the roadmap — email us if you have a specific requirement.
How is my data stored and protected?
NaturalTix is hosted on Cloudflare's global infrastructure. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We are GDPR-compliant. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe — NaturalTix never stores card numbers or bank details. Full details are in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
